WARNING FOR LAND AREAS
A STRONG WIND WARNING IS NOW IN FORCE FOR TONGATAPU AND EUA LAND AREAS.
SITUATION
A low pressure system lies to the southeastern waters of Tongatapu and 'Eua, directing a southeasterly winds to most part of the groups. Meanwhile, a high pressure system to the far southeast of the group will continue to bring fresh to strong east to southeasterly winds throughout the weekend for most part.

FOR THE NIUAS:
Light to moderate east to southeasterly winds.
Mainly fine apart from cloudy periods with possible isolated showers tonight.

FOR VAVA'U AND HA'APAI:
Light south to southeasterly winds, variable at times.
Mainly fine apart from cloudy periods with possible few showers.

FOR TONGATAPU AND 'EUA:
Light to moderate southeasterly winds, fresh to strong at times.
Mainly fine apart from cloudy periods with possible isolated showers.

Southeast winds 10-20 knots, rising up to 25-30 knots at times.
Moderate to rough seas (up to 2-3 metres).

FOR HA'APAI AND VAVA'U COASTAL WATERS:
South to southeast winds 10-15 knots, rising up to 20-25 knots at times for Ha'apai.
Slight to moderate seas (2 metres).
