SITUATION
A low pressure system lies over Tele-ki-Tonga and Tele-ki-Tokelau waters with an elongated trough to west of the group is approaching Tongatapu and 'Eua with cloudy condition, occasional showers and strong wind to affect these areas until tomorrow early.
FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT TOMORROW FOR TONGA
FOR THE NIUAS, VAVA'U AND HA'APAI:
Light to moderate east to northeasterly winds and variable at times
Mainly fine apart from cloudy periods with showers especially over Ha'apai by later tonight

FOR TONGATAPU AND 'EUA:
Light to moderate north to northeasterly winds, fresh at times and turning northwesterly by later tomorrow.
Cloudy with occasional showers, possibly heavy at times with isolated thunderstorms
OUTLOOK FOR WEDNESDAY
FOR ALL OF TONGA:
Light east to northeast winds and variable at times
Cloudy periods with scattered showers.

A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAIN IN FORCE FOR TONGATAPU AND 'EUA, COASTAL WATERS.

A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN FORCE FOR TONGATAPU, 'EUA, TELE-KI-TONGA AND TELE-KI-TOKELAU COASTAL WATERS.

AN EXTREME HIGH TIDE REMAIN IN FORCE FOR ALL OF TONGA COASTAL WATERS.
FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT TOMORROW FOR TONGA COASTAL WATERS
FOR TELE-KI-TONGA AND TELE-KI-TOKELAU COASTAL WATERS:
Northwesterly wind 25-30 knots and gusting up to 35-40 knots at times. Rough to very rough seas (up to 5-6 metres). Possible flooding in low-lying coastal area due to extreme high tides. Poor visibility in waters of heavy rain. Becoming moderate southwesterly swell by later tomorrow afternoon (up to 2-3 metres).

FOR TONGATAPU AND 'EUA COASTAL WATERS
North to northeasterly winds 10-20 knots and rising up to 25-30 knots at times. Turning northwesterly and easing down to 10-15 knots by later tomorrow. Moderate seas (up to 2-3 metres). Possible flooding in low-lying coastal area due to extreme high tides. Poor visibility in waters of heavy rain.

FOR THE NIUAS, VAVA'U AND HA'APAI COASTAL WATERS:
East to northeast winds of up to 10-15 knots, rising up to 20 knots at times over Ha'apai coastal waters. Slight to moderate seas (up to 1.5 metres). Possible flooding in low-lying coastal area due to extreme high tides.

FOR TELE-KI-TONGA AND TELE-KI-TOKELAU COASTAL WATERS:
Southeasterly winds 15-25 knots and gusting up to 30-35 knots at times. Rough seas (up to 4 metres). Moderate southwesterly swell (up to 3 metres). A moderate southwesterly swell (up to 2-3 metres). Poor visibility in waters of heavy rain.

FOR THE NIUAS, VAVA'U, HA'APAI, TONGATAPU AND 'EUA COASTAL WATERS:
Light and variable winds of up to 10 knots at times. Slight to moderate seas (up to 2 metres). A moderate southwesterly swell  (up to 2-3 metres)

FOR THE NIUAS COASTAL WATERS:
East wind of up to 10-15 knots at times. Slight to moderate seas (up to 2 metres).
