A HEAVY RAIN WARNING AND FLASH FLOOD ADVISORY IS NOW INFORCE FOR TONGATAPU AND 'EUA LAND AREAS.

A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR TONGATAPU AND 'EUA LAND AREAS.
SITUATION
A trough of low pressure lies over Tongatapu and 'Eua and it continues to bring cloudy condition, occasional rain to these island groups until tomorrow. Meanwhile, an easterly wind flow prevails over the Group.
FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT TONIGHT FOR TONGA
FOR THE NIUAS:
Light to moderate east to southeasterly winds.
Mainly fine apart from cloudy periods with brief showers.

FOR VAVA'U AND HA'APAI:
Light to moderate east to southeasterly winds.
Cloudy periods with occasional showers, heavy at times.

FOR TONGATAPU AND 'EUA:
Moderate southeasterly winds, fresh to strong at times.
Mostly cloudy and overcast with occasional rain, heavy at times with isolated thunderstorm.

Possible flooding in low lying areas due to heavy rain.
OUTLOOK FOR FRIDAY
FOR THE NIUAS:
Moderate east to southeasterly winds.
Mainly fine apart from cloudy periods with brief showers.

FOR VAVA'U, HA'APAI, TONGATAPU AND 'EUA:
Moderate to fresh southeasterly winds, strong at times especially over Tongatapu and 'Eua.
Cloudy with occasional showers, become heavy at times.

Southeast wind 10-20 knots, rising up to 25-30 knots at times.
Moderate to rough seas (up to 3 metres).
Poor visibilities in areas of heavy rain and thunderstorms.

FOR HA'APAI AND THE NIUAS COASTAL WATERS:
Southeast wind 10-15 knots, rising up to 20-25 knots at times.
Slight to moderate seas (up to 2.5 metres).

FOR VAVA'U COASTAL WATERS:
East to southeasterly wind 10-15 knots, then rising up to 20 knots.
Slight to moderate seas (up to 2 metres).
