FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT TOMORROW FOR TONGA
FOR ALL OF TONGA:
Light to moderate east to northeasterly winds, then becoming light and variable by later tomorrow afternoon. Generally fine apart from cloudy periods with some showers possibly heavy at times especially to the Niuas.
OUTLOOK FOR FRIDAY
FOR THE NIUAS:
Light to moderate northeasterly winds.
Mainly fine but there will be cloudy at times with developing scattered showers.

FOR VAVA'U AND HA'APAI:
Light and variable winds
Mainly fine but there will be cloudy at times with developing scattered showers.

FOR TONGATAPU AND 'EUA:
Light and variable winds then becoming light to moderate southerly later in the afternoon.
Partly cloudy then becoming overcast at times with heavy showers and potential of thunderstorms later in the afternoon.

Northeasterly wind 10-15 knots.
Slight to moderate seas (2 metres).

FOR TELE-KI-TONGA AND TELE-KI TOKELAU COASTAL WATERS:
North to northwesterly winds 10-20 knots
Moderate seas (2 metres). Poor visibility due to heavy rain.

FOR NIUAS COASTAL WATERS:
East to northeasterly wind 10-15 knots.
Slight to moderate seas (2 metres).

FOR VAVA'U, HA'APAI, TONGATAPU AND 'EUA COASTAL WATERS:
Light and variable winds up to 10 knots at times then becoming southerly winds of 10-15 knots later in the afternoon particularly over Tongatapu and 'Eua coastal waters. Poor visibility due to heavy rain especially over Tongatapu and 'Eua.
Slight to moderate seas (2 metres).

FOR TELE-KI-TONGA AND TELE-KI TOKELAU COASTAL WATERS:
Southeast wind 10-20 knots, and rising up to 25-30 knots at times
Moderate to rough seas (2-3 metres).
