A GALE WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR ALL LAND AREAS OF TONGA.
SITUATION
A high-pressure system located far to the south of Tonga will continue to generate cool fresh to strong south-easterly winds across the group today. Meanwhile, a low-pressure system situated far to the north-west is expected to move slowly south-eastwards over the next 24 to 48 hours. As it approaches, easterly winds across Tonga are likely to strengthen with occasional rain and thunderstorms.

Moderate to fresh east to southeasterly winds, then become strong up to damaging gale force wind at times.
Cloudy with possible occasional showers.
