SITUATION | |
A weak trough lies over Ha'apai this morning associated with cloudy and occasional showers and it is expected to continue moving north towards Vava'u this afternoon then towards the Niuas by tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, a ridge of high pressure extending to the southern waters of Tonga and it will direct cool south to southeasterly wind flow across the group later this afternoon and tomorrow. | |

FOR THE NIUAS: Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds. Generally fine apart from cloudy periods with possible few showers. FOR VAVA'U, HA'APAI, TONGATAPU AND 'EUA: Light to moderate south to southwesterly winds, then tending south to southeasterly later this evening. Cloudy with occasional showers for Ha'apai this morning and later in the afternoon for Vava'u. Becoming fine for Tongatapu and 'Eua this morning. Expect cooler air temperature at night time for Tongatapu, 'Eua and Ha'apai groups. |
