A trough of low pressure still lies over the southern waters of Tonga. Meanwhile, a ridge of high pressure extend onto the group from southeast bringing a northeast winds over most parts of the group.

FOR THE NIUAS, VAVA'U AND HA'APAI:
Light to moderate east to northeasterly winds, variable at times.
Mainly fine apart from cloudy periods with isolated showers.

FOR TONGATAPU AND 'EUA:
Light to moderate north to northeasterly winds, tending northwest winds this afternoon and variable at times.
Cloudy periods with potential scattered showers.

Light to moderate east to southeast winds.

FOR TELE-KI-TONGA, TELE-KI-TOKELAU COASTAL WATERS:
Northwest winds 15-20, rising up to 25-30 knots at times. Tending south to southwest later this afternoon.
Moderate to rough seas (up to 2-3 metres). A moderate easterly swell (up to 2 metres).

FOR TONGATAPU AND 'EUA COASTAL WATERS:
North to northeast winds 10-15 knots, rising up to 20 knots at times. Tending northwest winds this afternoon.
Moderate seas (2.5 metres).

FOR THE NIUAS, VAVA'U AND HA'APAI COASTAL WATERS:
East to northeast winds 10-15 knots, rising up to 20 knots at times.
