A trough from the west is approaching Tongatapu, 'Eua, Ha'apai and Vava'u groups. Associated clouds with occasional showers will affect most parts of the group today. Meanwhile, a fresh to strong east to southeast winds for most parts of Tonga coastal waters.

Light to moderate east to northeast winds, fresh at times.
Cloudy at times with developing scattered showers, possibly heavy at time with potential of isolated thunderstorms.

FOR VAVA'U, HA'APAI, TONGATAPU AND 'EUA:
Light to moderate east to southeast winds, fresh at times.
Cloudy at times with developing occasional showers, possibly heavy falls with potential of isolated thunderstorms.
