SITUATION
A ridge of high pressure from the far southeast extends onto the southern waters of Tonga, directing an easterly wind flow. Meanwhile, a trough is expected to approach the group from the southwest by Thursday with associated occasional showers of rain with possible heavy falls.
FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT TOMORROW FOR TONGA
FOR THE NIUAS, VAVA'U AND HA'APAI:
Light to moderate east to southeasterly winds.
Mainly fine apart cloudy periods with possible scattered showers Niuatoputapu tomorrow.

FOR TONGATAPU AND 'EUA:
Light to moderate easterly winds, variable by tomorrow.
Generally fine with cloudy periods.
OUTLOOK FOR THURSDAY
FOR THE NIUAS, VAVA'U AND HA'APAI:
Light to moderate east to southeasterly winds, variable at times.
Generally fine for Vava'u and the Niuas, apart from Ha'apai, will be cloudy in the afternoon with possible occasional showers.

FOR TONGATAPU AND 'EUA:
Light east to northeasterly winds, variable at times.
Cloudy periods with scattered showers, can be heavy at times in the afternoon.
