A trough lies over Vava'u and it is expected to move towards the Niuas this afternoon. Associated clouds with occasional shower and isolated thunderstorm will affect Vava'u and the Niuas today. Meanwhile, a southerly wind will continue to prevail over most part of Tonga later today.

Cloudy and overcast at times with morning occasional showers, heavy at times with potential of thunderstorms, then become fine by noon.

South to southwesterly wind of 10-20 knots.
Moderate seas (up to 2 metres). A moderate southwesterly swell (up to 2.5 metres).
