A ridge of high pressure system extends onto the group from the far southeast, directing light to moderate east to northeasterly wind flow to prevail over most parts of Tonga. Meanwhile, a trough is expected to approach Tongatapu and 'Eua from the southwest by tomorrow.
FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT TOMORROW FOR TONGA
FOR THE NIUAS
Light to moderate east to southeasterly winds.
Generally fine apart from cloudy periods.

FOR VAVA'U AND HA'APAI:
Light to moderate east to northeasterly winds, variable at times then tending southerly winds by tomorrow afternoon.
Generally fine apart from cloudy periods with scattered showers especially over Ha'apai group by tomorrow afternoon.

FOR TONGATAPU AND 'EUA:
Light to moderate east to northeasterly winds then tending southerly winds by tomorrow morning.
Cloudy periods with possible isolated showers then becoming overcast by tomorrow morning with occasional showers.
