SITUATION
A weak trough lies over Ha'apai this morning associated with cloudy and occasional showers and it is expected to continue moving north towards Vava'u this afternoon then towards the Niuas by tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, a ridge of high pressure extending to the southern waters of Tonga and it will direct cool south to southeasterly wind flow across the group later this afternoon and tomorrow.
FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT TONIGHT FOR TONGA
FOR THE NIUAS:
Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.
Generally fine apart from cloudy periods with possible few showers.

FOR VAVA'U, HA'APAI, TONGATAPU AND 'EUA:
Light to moderate south to southwesterly winds, then tending south to southeasterly later this evening.
Cloudy with occasional showers for Ha'apai this morning and later in the afternoon for Vava'u. Becoming fine for Tongatapu and 'Eua this morning. Expect cooler air temperature at night time for Tongatapu, 'Eua and Ha'apai groups.
OUTLOOK FOR MONDAY
FOR ALL OF TONGA:
Light to moderate southeasterly winds, fresh at times.
Mainly fine apart from the Niuas will be cloudy with occasional showers.
Expect cooler air temperature at night time.

THE STRONG WIND WARNINGS PREVIOUSLY IN FORCED FOR TELE-KI-TONGA AND TELE-KI-TOKELAU COASTAL WATERS IS NOW CANCELLED.

A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IS NOW IN FORCE FOR TONGATAPU AND 'EUA COASTAL WATERS AND IT IS STILL REMAIN IN FORCE FOR TELE-KI-TONGA AND TELE-KI-TOKELAU COASTAL WATERS.

Southerly wind 15-20 knots.
Moderate seas (up to 2 metres). A moderate southwesterly swell (up to 2.5 metres).

FOR VAVA'U, HA'APAI, TONGATAPU AND 'EUA COASTAL WATERS:
South to southwesterly winds 10-20 knots, then tending south to southeasterly later this evening.
Moderate seas (up to 2 metres). A moderate southwesterly swell (up to 2.5 metres).

FOR THE NIUAS COASTAL WATERS:
South to southeasterly winds up to 10-20 knots.
Slight to moderate seas (up to 1.5 metres).
